Comcast, AKA, Xfinity will gladly let you install one of their cable modem devices to provide network and Wi-Fi coverage into your home.

They’ll also gladly charge you around $11 per month for the privilege! So, its costing you close to $150 per year for a combination cable modem and router. After 10 years the total cost will be $1,500!

On Amazon.com, you can buy a Motorola MG7540 Cable Modem/Router and attachment hardware for less than $150. The device is approved by Comcast/Xfinity as compatible with their network. Then you’re done with that expense. After 10 years the total cost will be $150.

The speed is awesome.
